Donald MacDonald

BA (Hons), MACAud, Director and Audiometrist

Don manages all Country Hearing Care’s operations. He emigrated from Scotland to Australia in 2003 and settled in Mildura with Jane, his Australian wife, and their two young children. He re-trained here, and qualified as an Audiometrist in 2006.

Jane MacDonald

BSc, DipAud, MAudSA, CCP, Co-Director and Team Leader

Jane, our Senior Audiologist and Team Leader, graduated from University of Melbourne in 1985 and began practising in Mildura in 1990. She is our clinicians’ mentor and her years of practical experience are the bedrock of her support and guidance for complex case management. She is also a Board member of Independent Audiologists Australia (IAA).

Lauren Buckley

MAud, MAudSA, CCP, Audiologist

Lauren is our Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) specialist, and she also provides adult audiology services at our Mildura Clinic, and paediatric audiology care at the Mildura Base Hospital and the Robinvale Hospital. She qualified with a Masters in Audiology from Flinders University in 2011, and lives locally in Mildura.

Fiona DeBoo

MAud, MAudSA, CCP, Audiologist

Fiona is our Tinnitus specialist, and she also provides adult audiology services at our Mildura Clinic, and paediatric and adult audiology care at our Swan Hill Clinic. Originally from Mildura, Fiona joined us in 2013, after completing her Masters of Audiology at Flinders University in 2012.

Barney Mitcham

MManipPhysio, MACAud, Audiometrist and Physiotherapist

Barney is a qualified Physiotherapist who joined our team in 2009 after re-training as an Audiometrist. Barney offers vestibular rehabilitation in addition to hearing services. Barney lives in Merbein with his wife Andrina, and their four children.

Tina Kerr

MAud, MAudSA, Audiologist

Tina is our resident clinician at our new Echuca clinic which opened mid-2016. After graduating with a Masters of Audiology at University of Melbourne, she worked in the Goulburn Valley region for 17 years and has extensive experience in paediatric audiology, diagnostic audiology and paediatric and adult hearing rehabilitation

Katie Ward

Katie is busy studying for her Diploma to become an Audiometrist, while also working at Country Hearing Care and the Broken Hill Hearing Resource Centre. She and her son live in Broken Hill.

Malcolm Comfort


Malcolm is one of our Audiometrists on our Mildura team. He emigrated to Australia from Scotland in 2014, and re-trained to work as an Audiometrist here in Mildura. He and his Australian wife Peta and their young family have settled in Cardross.

Annette Downes


Annette and her husband relocated to Swan Hill in December 2017. Annette commenced at our Swan Hill clinic in March 2018. Her mum, two children and two grandchildren reside in Mildura, therefore travels the road from Swan Hill to Mildura frequently. Born in Melbourne, Annette has had predominantly administration roles.

Tania Tieman

Administration Manager, Mildura

Tania is our Administration Manager. She manages us all! She joined us in 2014, and has more than twenty years’ experience working in the health care industry. She was born and raised in Mildura, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Louise Cooke


Louise joined us in March 2018. She was born and raised in Geelong and moved to Echuca with her husband and three children in December 2017. Louise previously worked as a social worker.

Bree Masters

Administration and Receptionist, Echuca

Bree joined us in August 2016 during the opening of our Echuca Clinic. A local of the area, she lives in Echuca with her husband Aaron and their four children. She was business administration and human resources manager of a local dairy farm, and she also milked cows.

Michelle Berg


I have lived in Swan Hill area since 2006 with my Husband and four daughters. Before joining the country hearing team l worked at the Swan Hill Regional Livestock exchange in the roll of Administration / Data entry officer. I am involved in local clubs and organizations in the Swan Hill District.

Caitlin Kaine

BSc, MAud, MAudA , Audiologist

Caitlin joined us in 2018 as the new resident clinician at our Swan Hill clinic, providing adult and paediatric audiological care. She is originally from Tasmania and moved to Swan Hill upon graduating with a Masters of Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne.

Madison Kennedy


Maddi is our graduate audiologist in Mildura and Broken Hill, having completed her Master of Audiology at Flinders University in 2017. Maddi lives locally in Mildura after relocating from Adelaide.
