Donald MacDonald

BA (Hons), MACAud, Director and Audiometrist

Don is Country Hearing Care’s Managing Director. He emigrated from Scotland to Australia in 2003 and settled in Mildura with Jane, his Australian wife, and their two young children. He re-trained here, and qualified as an Audiometrist in 2006. Don is also the Chairman of the Hearing Business Alliance who advocate for small Hearing care businesses in Australia.

Jane MacDonald

BSc, DipAud, MAudSA, CCP, Co-Director and Team Leader

Jane is a company Director and team leader. She graduated from University of Melbourne in 1985 and began practising in Mildura in 1990. She is our clinicians’ mentor and her years of practical experience are the bedrock of her support and guidance for complex case management. She is also a Board member of Independent Audiologists Australia (IAA). Jane is also the Executive Officer for the Hearing Business Alliance who advocate for small hearing care businesses in Australia.

Malcolm Comfort


Malcolm is Country Hearing Care’s Operations Manager and a Clinician at our Mildura clinic. He emigrated to Australia from Scotland in 2014, and re-trained as an Audiometrist here in Mildura. He and his Australian wife Peta and their young family have settled in Cardross.

Fiona DeBoo

MAud, MAudSA, CCP, Audiologist

Fiona is our Tinnitus specialist, and she also provides adult audiology services at our Mildura Clinic, and paediatric and adult audiology care at our Swan Hill Clinic. Originally from Mildura, Fiona joined us in 2013, after completing her Masters of Audiology at Flinders University in 2012.

Madison Kennedy


Maddi joined us as an Audiologist after completing her Master of Audiology at Flinders University in 2017. Maddi provides adult audiology services at our Mildura Clinic, and paediatric audiology care at the Mildura Base Hospital. She lives locally in Mildura after relocating from Adelaide.

Julia Amezdroz


Julia joined us in 2019 as the new resident clinician at our Swan Hill clinic, providing adult and paediatric audiological care. She has been living in Geelong and moved back to Swan Hill upon graduating with a Masters of Clinical Audiology from La Trobe University.

Tania Tieman


Tania is our Administration/Accounts Manager and also manages us all! She joined us in 2014, and has more than twenty years’ experience working in the health care industry. She was born and raised in Mildura, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Jo Boromeo


Jo joined our Mildura clinic’s Admin team October 2017. Jo has over 13 years of experience in various Administration roles. She has lived in Red Cliffs with husband Mark for the past 20 years and has 3 children and one granddaughter.

Jennifer Marshall


Jennifer joined CHC in June of 2019 as a part of the Administration / Reception team with a great deal of experience in this field of employment.
Born and bred in Mildura, with the exception of 2 years living in the beautiful Barossa Valley, she enjoys interacting with the local residents and the opportunity to help others.

Katie Ward


Katie is a member of our Admin team at Country Hearing Care and the Broken Hill Hearing Resource Centre. She and her son live in Broken Hill.

Michelle Berg


Michelle has lived in the Swan Hill area since 2006 with her Husband and four daughters. Before joining the Country Hearing team she worked at the Swan Hill Regional Livestock exchange in the roll of Administration / Data entry officer. Michelle is involved in local clubs and organizations in the Swan Hill District.

Louise Cooke


Louise joined us in March 2018. She was born and raised in Geelong and moved to Echuca with her husband and three children in December 2017. Louise previously worked as a social worker.

Rebecca Pilgrim


Born & Raised in Warrandyte , Rebecca moved to Echuca / Moama in 2001. She is married with two sons and is a keen photographer in her spare time.

Ben O’Shannessy


Ben is our visiting Physiotherapist, providing Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy for vertigo and balance issues at our Mildura clinic. He lives locally with his wife and two kids and is the resident Physio at the Wenty Roos football club in his spare time.
